ART AND ELEMENTS

Using familiar materials of sand and dirt, Cal Lane and Linn Meyers’s
temporary art installations at 7 locations across town, is encouraging
viewers to think about the possibility of art in the day-to-day world.
Part of a city-wide public art initiative, Art & Elements is designed to
engage the artist and viewer as partners in an artistic experience
interacting within the larger framework of the city.

Cal Lane is an artist and welder who has created large-scale outdoor
sculptures throughout the US. Most recently, she created a work for
the Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, NY.

Linn Meyers is an artist who normally creates work characterized by a cumulative sequence of marks, meditatively applied. Most recently, she created large scale format line drawings for an exhibit at G Fine Art.
